Palak paneer biryani

 Hi friends,

Welcome to another blog. This time, it's going to be a kind of biryani.

We have had biryani, we have had palak paneer, why not mix them together.

It's palak paneer biryani today.

Let's see how to make it.

Firstly, shallow fry 200 gms of paneer in oil. Keep it aside.

Boil 2 cups of Basmati rice with a bay leaf, 2 cloves and 2 cardamoms. Once rice is 3/4th cooked, keep it aside.

In a kadai, add 1 bay leaf, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp fennel seeds, 1 tsp jeera, 2 cloves and 2 cardamoms and 1 star anise. Add turmeric powder.

Fry it well with 1 sliced onion, 3 cloves garlic and 1 inch chopped ginger.

Once all these are fried well, add chopped pieces of 1 tomato.

Once tomatoes are mushy, add a tbsp of curd and mix well.

Now add chopped palak into the gravy .

Cook the palak with gravy for atleast 5 minutes.

Once the palak gravy is ready , take a vessel and start layering cooked rice, palak gravy and fried paneer pieces with a pinch of garam masala.

Keep the vessel in a pressure cooker and cook for just a whistle, not more than that.

If not, it can also be cooked in dum.

I prefer to cook it in cooker.

Tasty, yummy, healthy biryani ready.

We can add vegetables if needed.

Since, I wanted to make it as a palak and paneer special, I didn't add any vegetables.

Please try and let me know.
