Wheat Dosa

I am back with another easy and traditional dish. This time its wheat dosa. Everyone makes it at home.
My first stint at wheat dosa was in my 8th std. I agreed to make it for my thatha when patti was not at home. I made my first dosa and that did not want to come out of the tava. I tried my level best but everything stuck to the tava. My thatha ate whatever shape and sticky mess i gave and complimented me by saying it tasted good. That was an exaggeration, no doubt.
Now when i make wheat dosa everytime ,i just think of him.
My version of wheat dosa is 3 ingredients, but some amount of patience is required.
Ingredients
wheat flour- 2 cups
salt
water
yes i dont add rice flour or rava. But you can add those to give dosa some stability.
I just mix flour and water with salt and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
Just at the time of making dosa, i keep the tava in medium heat and pour the watery batter from outside to center. In the same way as rava dosa holes form on the surface, here too there will be holes. now spread some oil on the sides .
Now is the time to be patient, the batter cooks in medium heat and crisps up if left untouched.
Once one side is crisp slowly turn it to other side and cook for 3, 4 minutes till it cooks.
Healthy wheat dosa is ready. We can serve this any kind of chutney or sambar. this particular day i served it with a mixed sambar.
We can always add onions, temperings. We can also make masala dosa with it. It is a heathy dosa too.
