Rava idly cupcake with onion chutney frosting

Another new trial this time.
I have always loved rava idli. Rava idli with potato sagu was always my favourite thing to order ,when we were in bangalore.
Now my son and husband have also started loving it.
For a long time, I have been wanting to try an idli cupcake , but never did as it seemed to be time consuming.
Today , I had already planned for rava idli for dinner. So adding 2 and 2 together, I made rava idli cupcake.
It is a basic rava idli recipe.
I soaked 2 cups of rava in 2 cups of curd for 30 minutes. Once soaked, I added tempering of mustard seeds,channa dal,chilly,curry leaves to it. Added 1 cup of water and mixed it to get perfect consistency of an idli batter.
Add 1 tsp of baking soda and mix well.
Immediately, pour the batter into muffin tray and cook in microwave for 3-4 minutes.
Finally , I frosted the cupcake with onion chutney.
Beautiful rava idli cupcake is ready.
My muffin tray is not very deep as you can see. I used foil instead of cupcake liners.
This recipe can also be used to make a normal rava idli with an idli cooker.
