Day 29 - Pondicherry fusion
Hi friends,
Today being 29th day of my challenge, I am just one day away from completing the challenge. So today I have taken a place close to Chennai. Just a drive to get there. I love pondicherry. I love its beach, the statue ,the promenade . Just a calm place.
Pondicherry cuisine has south indian flavour along with its french influences. I wanted to make use of this opportunity to learn about french cuisine in pondicherry. I looked into some of the menus of pondicherry restaurants online and zeroed in the veg options of french cuisine.

I came to know of this from the movie only. Later ,once or twice , I have had this in a restaurant with a serving of herbed rice. This is a hearty vegetable stew made with eggplants, zucchini and capsicum. I used vari brinjal , cucumber and yellow zucchini , green capsicum. This is a tomato based stew and it is purely vegetarian.
This is a rice made with just butter and onions. I served ratatouille with this.
What's french without crepes. Many creperies are found in pondicherry. It is made with flour and eggs. But I made with a eggless version. I made a stuffed savoury crepe with the fusion being paneer and corn stuffing. I served with soy, spring onion sauce.
I also added some jeera rice and matar paneer to the meal as north Indian food are also available in pondicherry.
Wanted to try ratatouille for a while ,so used this opportunity to cook that.
