Day 17 -Haryana
Hi everyone,
Today its Haryana day. Haryana is a state surrounding Delhi by three sides. It is rich in history, monuments and heritage.
Haryanvi cuisine is similar to its neighbouring states. The food is simple, earthy and wholesome. It can also be called land of rotis. Rotis are made of all types of atta. It is also famous for its butter and ghee which is used liberally in all the dishes.
Today I made
This is a roti made with gram flour and atta with salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder.
Cholia is actually green channa. Since I was not able to get cholia I made similar subji with green peas. This is a subji made with onion ,tomato, garlic and whole spices. It is garnished with green coriander leaves.
This is a dry curry made with carrot and methi leaves with salt, chilli powder, jeera, coriander powder. I added onion for flavour. I also added coriander.
This is a pulao made with green chutney, onion , garam masala, and baby potatoes. I have put pieces of big potato.
I also added a Raita in thali.
This is a wholesome lunch or dinner recipe.
