Day 15 - Delhi
Hi friends,
Yesterday I had made gobi Musallam which was too good . Today I am here with the capital, Delhi. We have visited Delhi for a short vacation. We saw all the tourist attractions as per the list. Wherever we went ,it was crowded. Wherever we saw there were food stalls . There were chole kulcha ,kachoris, chaats ,dosas, pizzas, sandwiches .It is the best place for a foodies vacation.
As I said , Delhi is a melting pot of many cultures and many cuisines. There are many things that I wanted to cook like Bedmi poori ,kulche. I also wanted to do a paratha day as a reminder for paratha gali.But have kept those for a later date.
So today I am going the chaat route. All of us in our family love chaat. So what better time to have chaat than on a Saturday evening .
Today I have made
Ram ladoo is actually a savoury deep fried snack made of moong dal and little bit of channa dal , ginger ,chillies and salt. Once fried,it is served with green chutney, tamarind chutney and grated radish.
Deep fried palak leaves are served with onion, tomatoes, green chutney and tamarind chutney.
Big chunks of potato are tossed with onions , tomatoes, green chutney and tamarind chutney .
Papdi is tossed with a little bit of channa just like potato with the usual. I made this papdi at home.
White boiled channa is cooked with onion tomato, masala. Served with green chutney, tamarind chutney and homemade sev.
The favourite part of this platter is it is so colorful,flavorful and healthy.
