National curry - kadamba curry

Hi everyone, I am a proud Indian. So what better way to start my recipe blog than a tricolor curry.                                      

INGREDIENTS:-                                                   
  •  Finely chopped cabbage :- 1 cup                        
  •  Chopped carrot,beans     :- 1 cup                        
  •  Grated coconut                :-  1/2 cup                      
  •   Salt                                     :- according to taste  
  •  Mustard seeds                  :-1/2 tsp                          
  • U.dal                                  :- 1 tsp                               
  •  Oil                                       :- 1tbsp                       
  •   Chilli (green/red)              :- 2                                      
  • curry leaves                     :- Few                                     
 This is one of the easiest curry that can be made. It is also called porial,thoran,palya.                                                                                      
Take oil in a kadai. Put mustard seeds,u.dal to temper. When it starts to get brown put curry leaves and chilli in it.  Once all gets brown add the blanched vegetables in the kadai.  I usually boil my vegetables for these kind of preparation for 3-4 minutes for it to get cooked.                                                                  
  Now add salt and mix well. Close the kadai and let it cook for 5minutes in medium flame. After it gets cooked add grated coconut and mix well. A tasty,healthy, colorful curry is ready. You can have this with rice,sambar or rasam. For vegetables with coconut usually vatha kuzhambu, vendaya kuzhambu, milagu kuzhambu is best.
