Capsicum chutney

How was the weekend. Mine was a busy and tiring one. But that doesn't stop us from cooking and eating right.

This time it is capsicum chutney. I love capsicum. I add it in everything , sambar, kurma and even upma.


That day for dosa ,I wanted a different kind of chutney and had half pieces of colour capsicums lying in the fridge. So what better way to use up capsicum than a quick chutney. Thats it, a new flavourful chutney is in my armor now.

Ingredients

Capsicum -2 cut into cubes

Onion -1

Tomato - 1

Red chilly - 4

Salt

Tempering of mustard seeds and urad dal with oil.

In a kadai, add a tsp of oil and add chopped capsicum pieces,onion and tomato pieces. Cook them till mushy with salt and chillies.

As you can see i have used yellow,red and green capsicum. That tasted great .

Once it is mushy, leave them to cool down. Once cooled grind chutney into a smooth paste.

Add the temperings to it.

Yummy chutney is ready.

Serve it with idly, dosa,pongal,poori ,chapati.
