Day 21 - Chattisgarh snacks

Hi friends,
Today I have come here with chattisgarh. Chattisgarh was part of Madhya pradesh.  It is a heavily forested area. Chattisgarh is full of temples and amazing waterfalls. 

Day 21 - Chattisgarh snacks
Chattisgarh is known as the rice bowl of India. It has a rich tradition of food and culture. Staples are rice ,jowar, bajra. Many of the breads and snacks are made of rice flour.

Today I made 
Farra
Farra is similar to ammini kozhukattai. Rice flour is added to cooked rice and mashed well. It is rolled like a finger and steamed. Then tempered with mustard seeds,sesame seeds and jeera seeds.

Cheela
Soaked rice is ground into batter. This batter is cooked in a tava like a neer dosa.

Angakar roti
It is also called mota roti. Rice flour is mixed with salt and made like a chapati dough. Then baked in open fire into a thick roti. Instead of making 1 big roti , I made some small ones.

Roasted tomato chutney 
Tomato ,chillies and garlic is roasted on open flame and mashed like a chutney. 

Today we had a healthy, steamed snack.
