Aloo poha cutlet, Rice flour cutlet- simple no oil snack

Hi friends,
We are now in the habit of eating snacks with tea. So everyday,  we can't be eating fried foods. In our house, we don't prefer fried items. They are not healthy. At the same time,we need something to satisfy our cravings. So I make it a point that i cook something which is healthy as well as tasty.
Today, I have come with two recipes that are easy to cook.
Aloo poha cutlet
As the name suggests it is potato and aval cutlet.

INGREDIENTS:-
Aval         :- 1 cup
Potato      :- 1 big
Onion       :- 1 finely chopped
Salt
Chilli powder
Coriander leaves

Soak aval in water. Try to mash aval so as to make it like a dough.
Boil potato and mash.
Mix mashed aval, potato and chopped onion with salt, chilli powder and coriander leaves well.
Once mixed, make into cutlet shape.
Cook the cutlets on a hot tava.

Rice flour cutlet

INGREDIENTS:-
Rice flour                                    :- 1 cup
Water                                           :-1.5 cup
Onion                                          :- 1/2 cup
Tomato                                        :-1/2 cup
Grated capsicum and carrot   :-1/2 cup
Salt
Chilli powder

Mix rice flour and water to a paste. Keep for 10 minutes.
In a hot kadai, mix onion, tomato, vegetables with salt and chilli powder and cook it for 3 minutes. Vegetables should be crunchy.
Add the vegetables with the rice paste and mix well.
Take a spoon of mixture and pat it down in a hot tava and cook . Keep the flame low and cook as without oil, it takes time to cook. Once cooked on one side, turn the other side and cook.

Some tips for both cutlets
I have not added ginger, garlic. If needed, ginger and garlic can be added.
It can be deep fried too. That's purely our decision.

We loved this oil free version.  Hope you will too.
